This program accounts for LAM Part 1. It constructs fundamental knowledge and training in design philosophy and technical prowess for students to practice or further study in Architecture. Geared towards the building industry, the students will learn in breadth and depth about architectural design, technology, environmental science, culture, social and history, visual communication, and professional ethics.
The learning and training will be held in a collaborative teaching environment to empower students and produce graduates who are artistic and analytical, able to discover their aptitudes and capabilities for their careers in the architecture profession. The program also emphasises the importance of sustainability and regenerative architecture to prepare students for the challenges and pressing issues of the world, producing graduates who are relevant and critical in their minds in making a difference and betterment to our mother earth.
STPM
Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GP 200) in any TWO (2) subjects, including General Studies
STAM
1Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum of Jayyid grade
UEC
Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in FIVE (5) subjects
A-Level
Pass A-Level with at least Grade C in TWO (2) subjects
MATRICULATION/FOUNDATION
Possesses Matriculation of Foundation from an educational institution recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government, with a minimum of CGPA 2.00 with credit Mathematics in Matriculation or Foundation level or in SPM level or equivalent
ADVANCED DIPLOMA (MQF LEVEL 6)
Possesses Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF), or its equivalent from an educational institution recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and passes stringent assessment for equivalency
DIPLOMA (MQF LEVEL 4)
Possesses Diploma in Architecture (Level 4, MQF), or its equivalent from an educational institution recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
Possesses Diploma in Architectural Technologist (Level 4, MQF), or its equivalent from an educational institution recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
Possesses Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in related field, or its equivalent from an educational institution recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and passes stringent assessment for equivalency;
OTHER
Pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) (Level 4 MQF) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) (Level 4, MQF)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA 2.50 subject to UCSF Senate approval and passes stringent assessment for equivalency; OR
Pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) (Level 4 MQF) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) (Level 4, MQF)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA 2.00 AND at least TWO (2) years of work experience in related field and passes stringent assessment for equivalency
