UCSF-FS/FSI PRE-FORUM WORKSHOP ON
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
About the event
An exciting full day youth forum will be curated on 28 Oct 2020 as an interactive platform for students to advocate for their visions and provoke discourse around innovative solutions to infrastructure development in Sabah. The aim is to offer a democratic space that opens the discussion across a wide range of topics: Philosophical & Conceptual Dimensions of Infrastructure Development; Imagining & Visioning the Emerging Future of Infrastructure Development and Evidence-based Design of infrastructure Development.
As a lead up to the forum, we invite students and lecturers to an online pre-forum workshop on 23 Sep 2020, 2:00-4:30pm, where we will present an overview of current and proposed infrastructure projects in Sabah and relevant policies shaping infrastructure development such as the Sabah Structure Plan. We will facilitate a discussion to surface and shape ideas and form project teams of students and lecturers who will work together to prepare for the forum. Prizes will be awarded for innovative ideas presented for each theme i.e,1st (RM1000) 2nd (RM600) and 3rd (RM400).
The forum will comprise presentations and panel discussions featuring the student representatives, policy makers, private sector and civil society. This is a collaborative initiative by University College Sabah Foundation.
